Crispelli's Bakery - Royal Oak

I was really hoping to enjoy this bakery, but unfortunately, the pastries and bread fell short of my expectations. For starters, the pain au chocolat had powdered sugar on it, which was unusual and not to my liking. The pastries were also covered in excessive icing, and the bread itself was quite plain. I found the chai latte to be overly spicy, although the coffee was quite good. The cakes do look appealing, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.

As soon as you step through the first set of doors, the aroma of fresh bread greets you powerfully. The layout is impressive, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass displays that showcase all the delicious breads available. There's also a lovely patio for outdoor gatherings with ample space. The menu includes sandwiches, loaves of bread, and sweet treats for dining in or taking away. I tried the ham and cheese croissant, which was generously filled with meat and perfectly toasted. The chocolate chip cookie was delightful, with crispy edges and a gooey center. I sampled the lemonade as well, with the option to customize flavors. The lavender lemonade had a nice lavender taste but was a bit too sweet for my liking; I wouldn't order that one again.

Crispelli's is an excellent spot to kick off your day. They offer a diverse selection of both sweet and savory pastries. The place is very clean and well-lit, thanks to its large glass front that faces east. If you find yourself in or around Royal Oak, be sure not to miss it!

So cute! I've gone to Crispelli's so many times but I just only discovered the bakery. They had some really great options in terms of baked goods, sandwiches and other lunch type foods. Service was so great and everyone was super friendly, loved the coffee and baked goods I had from here.

We come to Crispelli’s every time we are in Michigan from LA. We even had our wedding rehearsal dinner here! Never disappoints! What makes it even better is “Pizza Pete”. We’re so glad he is back… he makes the experience for kids so amazing! His pizza ideas are great and he is always so happy and friendly, even when super busy!
