Scotty's Hot Dog Stand

Ordered 2 ruebans 2-16-22 no rye bread smallest amount of meat plop of sauce and kraut for 18.50 will not return. Long time customer will not be returning miss old owners .

I've been going to Scotty's my entire 50 year's of existence. I've known the original owners and have now met the new owners on three occasions. I guess I'm a loyal tradionalist? That being said yesterday was the worst experience ever. There's no reason to serve cold hotdogs at lunchtime! The previous visit there was no salt on the fries. They earned a 2 star rating for the mediocre pizza puff. Not sure if I'll be back. Nostalgia only lasts so long.

Finally stopped in the famed hot dog stand a couple of weeks ago after a long hiatus. Lived in RL from May '89-Nov '02 which is when I was in out of this place along with a few other RL area favs. Not just hot dogs but their overall menu has always been awesome. Good prices, friendly service and tasty quality eats will keep you coming back to this wonder. Been living in Beach Park for nearly the last 19 years so unfortunately I usually end up some place much closer when in the mood for a Chicago grill. Been at least a couple of years since I 've been to Scotty 's, though. After biting into that dog fries automatically it brought me back in time. Gonna try to make it out here a bit more often 'cause I definitely miss this taste!

Been coming here since I was a kid. The hot dogs dont taste the same anymore. Like the meat is old or something. Maybe they're not using Vienna anymore? Idk. They just don't taste good. Definitely going downhill. Very sad.
