When we were seated and ordered, Robin our server asked to see my ID, and then she just left with the ID withoutcommunicating anything to me. Robin was gone for several minutes, I was so perplexed. She came back out with other items in herhands and then went behind the bar with my ID to speak with others about the ID showing it to multiple people. I asked apasserby server the manager, I later learned for communication and about what was going on. Robin finally came back, andafter I asked, explained my legitimate ID looked like a fake because of the signature?s microprint placement. Her explanationwas shoddy and unclear. I told her that my ID is my property and she cannot take it without basic communication. She tried todefend herself that she did communicate this to me ? . If that was the case, why didn?t she wait for a response basic customerand people interaction etiquette from me? Robin said she?s been working in this business since since she was 18, for manyyears. If that?s the case, then she really should have known how to properly communicate and check IDs with standard, respect, and customer service. At the end of my visit, I asked Robin if I could share my feedback/thoughts, to which she said yes. Theconversation ended up being a big back and forth between me and Robin. Never did Robin once apologize or use customer service, and she was combative till we left. The manager was present as well and condoned this. My main point to Robin and the managerwas I did not receive appropriate respect and communication this is not how things are handled in foodservice business andcustomer service and my visit was a very disappointing experience, especially as a frequent visitor. Robin said she
Food was good. Vibe is cool. Service was pleasant and welcoming. Plenty of pool tables. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Missing one star because although they had plenty of staff, our bartender went MIA for a while and later when we got atable, so did our waitress. It was difficult to find or get attention of another staff member during those times.
Had a great time! The food was great. the staff was poilte, friendly and helpful. also played pool and had so much fun! The prices were very reasonable. The cocktails were perfection! I had The Grateful Dead... my beast had the Long Island Ice Tea. Dinner was the nachos... looked me back to the good old days when Nachos were actually afteros...so delicios... I will definitely return!
I'm from Shelby NC and came here originally because my work has me nearby in a hotel, and wanted a place to enjoy some decent food late night during covid. I didn't think I would be coming in 3 times a week during the month I've been here. My wife traveled down and we ate and played pool and had a good night. The bartenders are extra sweet and if treated right they will remember ur name and drinks. It's a dive bar at heart but has some great food and a large menu , with homemade splashes in all the food from what I am hearing and tasting. Enjoy a good toke and some mazzys and have a good time. Much love.
Love this restaurant! Staff is always friendly and the to-go orders are always fresh! Ask for litzie (sorry if I misspelled your name) she is an angel
