Antonette's East Hills - ROSLYN HEIGHTS

I went there for dinner, but it seemed quite empty and quiet.

We were a group of six friends celebrating a special occasion, and we chose Antonette’s. However, when we arrived on Friday night, the place was dark and closed, despite their advertisement for a live band. They didn’t honor reservations, and no one answered the phone. It was frustrating to see that the restaurant was completely full. We weren’t the only ones left out in the cold; it seemed poorly managed. I can’t understand why they didn’t have someone available to notify guests or even call back. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing.

While the food and service were enjoyable, the restaurant was quite cold. The guests at the next table even remarked on it, as all four of us had to put on our jackets to keep warm. It was only briefly adjusted to a comfortable temperature before Jimmy turned it back down again. We ended up eating inside with our coats on. Jimmy does make rounds to ensure everything is in order, but he didn’t seem to do this consistently; he only sat down with two men who came in to eat, and he didn’t even say goodnight or thank us when we left. Additionally, they packed the salad to-go in the same container.

That was our first visit. but it won't be our last. the staff was extremely attentive and far exceeded expectations. the food was absolutely delicious. the place is beautiful. all our guests were very impressed and they will be definitiw new customers this wonderful place.

We dined at Antonette's for the first time. The restaurant is very pretty. The owner I assume greeted us, and checked on us during the meal. The hostess was also the waitress which was a little odd. Also a bit odd... they do not have a wine menu to show you. She asked us if we wanted red or white, then told us what kind of wine they have. We are used to being able to pick a specific wine. She retrieved a bottle from California for us, and it was delicious. The food was very good. Veal marsala and veal saltimbocca. Just wished that the dinner came with more potato croquette. there was 1 per person, and that's just a bit skimpy because they were good. Overall it was a good experience and we would go back.
