The Ole Farm House Cafe Inc - Rosenort

A friend of mine invited me to lunch at the amazing little Farmhouse Cafe in Rosenort, Manitoba today, and I was so happy that she took me there. It's off the main highway through this small town, so unless someone told you about it, you'd never know it was there. Such a wonderful little surprise. They have turned this old farmhouse into such a homey, welcoming restaurant. The minute you walk up on the veranda you have a warm feeling that they are really happy to see you that you dropped by. When you enter, they welcome you like you are a family relative....just come on in and welcome to our home. I decided to have a Reuben sandwich, with sweet potato fries. My friend had an egg salad sandwich and salad. The only criticism that I would say was that I did wish that I had a little more pastrami or corned beef in my toasted sandwich, but it was delicious. I didn't have any of the desserts because I was full, but they offered a great assortment of homemade goodies. You could also buy fresh bread, buns and pies to take home so that is an option. If you are looking for a new place for breakfast or lunch, it's worth making the effort to visit this little Farmhouse Cafe.

Right from when you walk in it feels special. A very warm greeting and wonderful atmosphere. We arrived just after 9 and had no problem getting a table, but the crowd started coming in later so next time, make a reservation. Especially for groups.The coffee was very good and the food nicely presented. The small farmer's breakfast was okay. The hash browns were not hot. Tasty but would have been nicer if they were hotter. The bacon was also in the okay category. We were hoping for big things from the cinnamon swirl bread but it seemed to lack a cinnamony taste.The breakfast burrito, on reflection, was a disappointment. Much too much tortilla for the filling. The filling itself was a bit lacking in both taste and proportion.We didn't try any of the baked goodies but the looked great. Fun place for sure but for us, on this day, our food fell a bit short of expectations.

Had lunch with some really great business friends at this cafe in Rosenort Manitoba and absolutely loved the food and great ambience of the cafe. Real home made food with great menu selection. The staff are very friendly and the owner is very talented decorator and operator. The decoy and trinkets give the place great warmth and character. Very customer friendly and great place to stop if you are in the area.

We had lunch at The Ole' Farmhouse Cafe, 31 Rose Lane, Rosenort, Mb, Canada.Absolutely delicious. The fries and buterhorns in particular were divine. Extremely cozy and rustic, the atmosphere was excellent.Good value for money and they have interesting baked goods like bacon, caramel, cinnamon rolls.

This is by far, one of the best places to eat. The food is homemade, fresh and delicious. It is worth the drive
