The beef rolls were also packed with filling/meat! I'd say they're the best we've had in OC/LA area. The braised tendon noodles were also really good after we added some vinegar to the broth. The pan fried bun came out hot and crispy too! The service was good! Overall, we'd come back for the XLB and to try the dan dan noodles :
OMB aka Oh my bao, what a delicious meal! I?m normally not in this area so wanted to make sure I satisfied my XLB craving. Mission accomplished and more. Ordered the Xiao long bao (pork) and the one with crab, Pan fried pork baos, pork potstickers and the hot oil pork shrimp veggie wontons. I love Din Tai but I loved these even more! I wish I could name a favorite dish but I can?t because everything was so good. Pan fried pork baos are very filling and had lots avery tasty soup inside. Be careful on your first bite as the soup was super hot. The crisp on the bottom of each bao added such great texture to each bite. The hot oil pork shrimp wontons were a nice size, maybe 2-3 bites each andspicier than I would have liked but the heat in my mouth was worth every single bite. Loved the presentation of the pork potstickers. The crispy top added that same yummy texture to each delicious bite. Drooling as my writing this. Weenjoyed every bite and would definitely go back. Read the great reviews for the braised beef noodle soup, unfortunately I wasn?t in the mood for soup this time around but as I looked around to the tables around us saw most people orderingsoup so definitely on the list to try on the next visit.
Heard about Mr Dragon on YouTube and really wanted to try it out, specifically the pan fried pork bao and the xiao long bao. Amazing?and they weren?t even our top two favorites that we ordered!! The spicy wontons we?re at the top of the list. A close second was the beef noodle soup, followed by the pork potstickers. The rest were very close behind. Fillings were generous and the broth and beef in the soup were chef?s kiss. The best meal we?ve had in a long time. I can?twait to go back!!
Absolutely delicious Taiwanese restaurant that specializes in the classic Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup. We ordered the Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup and the kick was just perfect. They also have great side dishes such as Pan Fried Pork Buns (a must! and Beef Roll Cake. I regret forgetting to order Pickled Vegetable on the side for my noodles. I also wished I came with more people so we could've tried more food. Huge shopping plaza with plenty of free parking. Nice updatedrestaurant. Looks like a pretty busy place, but their service is awesome and quick. Best of all, the portions are extremely generous with great price value. My friend and I both had enough left over for a second meal. Expect to pay around$25-30 per person after taxes tips. Definitely will be returning whenever I'm in the area to try other items!
I've heard great things about this restaurant but was skeptical about the 4.5 stars it earned. But after trying it today, I can vouch that it deserves that rating. The house special beef noodle soup was very tasty with 3 huge pieces of very tender beef. The crab and pork xlb were big and juicy. I think it can definitely compete with Din Tai Fung's version. The seaweed salad was a little disappointing, being a little tough. I prefer the softer and silkier seaweed dish. This may just be my preference, so don't let it deter you from ordering if you like chewing more. The restaurant itself seemed nice and clean. And the service was good, with the servers actually looking around to see if customers are flagging for them. I'm a fan!
