Picante Mexican Grill - Rolling Meadows

Stopped here on our way to Ohio. Very busy place but didn't have to wait too long for our order. Sandwiches were huge and the bread was very good.

I was in the mood for tacos and soup, but the only soup available was a $14 beef soup, as I was informed. Another customer came in and asked if they accepted Apple Pay, but the one woman working there told them no. I noticed they actually do accept it when I checked out and mentioned it, but she seemed unaware. Anyway, I ordered four Asada tacos, which is what I received, but there was no lime. The tacos were just okay, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back for them.

I stopped by this afternoon to place a takeout order. When I arrived to pick it up, we had to remind them of our entire order. The tacos were fantastic, but the beans and rice weren’t very enjoyable.

I went to get some food, but when I arrived, an elderly man informed me that the restaurant was closed, although the slot machines were still open. I advise others not to waste their time.

Tacos were flavorless. Mexican rice was good.
