Art Falafel George Maria - Rodos

LOVED the falafel plate I ordered! Very nice staff and convenient location : Big fan!

We came across George Maria 's by chance having walked up and down Nikiforou Mandilara in search of somewhere decent for dinner. The majority of the other restaurants seemed to be serving mundane tourist food to customers packed in elbow to elbow. George greeted us with a polite Good evening and a smile. The restaurant had a uniqueness about it and the menu was an eclectic mix of Greece with a subtle Egyptian twist. We were hooked. We opted for the Greek plate each and a litre of house red. One word: delicious. Each individual element of the mixed dish had its own distinctive taste and worked in harmony to make a flavoursome meal that we both enjoyed immensely. George is the perfect host: passionate about his food, interesting to talk to and a genuinely lovely man. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

No George! Always the best! NOT All the best! Again excellent, it feels like punch, it does not matter if you preorder special wish day before (your favorite or what George recommend) or go for the moussaka or falafels on the menu, you still leave with a happy smile and thinking of next visit! Family meal while on holiday. Vegetarian plate was delicious. Husband and daughter devoured their gyros. Pancakes for dessert were fab. Highly recommend the white wine. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

It is lovely sweet couple and this reflects to the menu. So local and delicious
