The Shrimp Shack Cafe - Rockport

We ordered the chopped pork sandwich, which is offered in small and large size. The pig was tender, a little smokey and beautifully seasoned with Bbq sauce. The Coleslaw was vinegar, in a smaller portion size, but fresh and tasty. Service was informal and friendly.

Food was pretty good (brisket and shrimp tacos) but the service was what really shined. Our server was outstanding and the banana pudding that we served up was the best I've had.

This is a delightful little spot. Two of us ordered the loaded baked potato, while the other two opted for the steamed seafood in foil. The loaded baked potato was fantastic and definitely worth the price. The others remarked that the steamed seafood in foil was also good and provided more food than they could handle. Our waiter was a friendly young man; I asked for his name to include in my review, but since we visited a week ago and didn’t note it down, I believe it was Cody. Regardless, he was excellent—very attentive and helpful. The banana pudding is among the best you'll ever taste, unless you happen to know a sweet little old Southern lady from Tennessee, because homemade Southern banana pudding is hard to beat. However, the version here is the best I've ever had. Overall, if you find yourself in Rockport, make sure to visit this charming little place!
