The blueberries had an unusual texture and the skin was difficult to chew and almost chalky. I suspect that the blueberries were frozen and then microwaved. The French toast itself was pretty bland. Fresh squeezed orange juice was good. Overall, pretty expensive for a meal I could not finish.
The food was very bland. Missing a lot of flavor. Kind of feel ripped off. The good reviews most likely come from an older demographic. The service was good.
I couldn’t enjoy my food because the amount of flies there is in this place!
BEST breakfast I’ve had in my life! I ordered strawberry pancakes (because strawberries were in season), with hash browns and sausages. Other orders in our group included hamburgers and eggs plus biscuits with gravy. Everything was beyond delicious, and even the fresh-squeezed orange juice was amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to go here again!
I love the Granite Rock Grill. It is located on Pacific Street in old Rocklin. This was my first visit back since Covid. I brought a friend along on this visit. I had the Granite Rock scramble with a biscuit (Their version of San Francisco Joe's scramble- spinach, ground beef, parmesian cheese, etc). My friend had tomatoe juice, waffles, eggs, and potatoes. As expected, the portions were enormous! I could only eat half of my meal. The service was great. We both drank coffee. What was not expected was the price. Which was probably affected by California's new $20 minimum wage. Breakfast for two ran $50 tip. Ouch!
