Gourmet Soul Kitchen - Rock Hill

I decided to try this restaurant after reading the reviews, hoping to avoid a long drive to Charlotte for soul food. Unfortunately, the chicken lacked any seasoning, the gravy was overly salty, and the macaroni and green beans were just okay. The only standout item was the cornbread, which was actually worth the price. Perhaps I just visited on an off day, but I won’t be returning to find out.

I had been craving good mac and cheese for weeks, and Bojangles just wasn’t satisfying my needs. I decided to order from this place since it's only a three-minute drive from my workplace. The mac and cheese was incredible and brought back memories of my grandmother's cooking. Plus, the bacon on the BLT was perfectly crispy—it's so hard to find restaurants that know how to do crispy bacon! I will definitely be returning!

I visited the restaurant for the first time today. Unfortunately, the staff were quite slow. They also got my order wrong; I ordered the steak quesadilla but received the chicken quesadilla instead. The quesadilla was plain and didn’t come with any dipping sauce. The sweet tea was excessively strong and lacked sugar—next time, please don’t use so many tea bags. I ended up having to take the food back and ask them to remake it to make it more enjoyable.

I called and got no answer. They called back 5 minutes later and so thankful she did. What other place gives call backs . The food was amazing. Definitely recommend ?Kid-friendliness: Staff called back even tho they was busy

We love the down home feel..Zaria is an amazing example of exceptional customer service, keep smiling sweetheart..we will talk about this restaurant when we go back to Louisville Ky. We will definitely visit this restaurant again. The food is wonderful!!!! Plus it’s black owned and I Love my people. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
