The Tap And Mallet - Rochester

As a first-timer, I had an amazing experience. The food was not only delicious but also plentiful, and the craft beer on tap was excellent. This establishment truly stands out, and I wish I had discovered it sooner, especially considering they might be closing soon. If you haven't tried it yet, make sure to do so soon!

We visited Tap & Mallet hoping to try their famous fish and chips, but we were pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian burger. Their veggie burger features a homemade cherry beet patty that was flavorful and honestly better than many traditional burgers I've had. The fish and chips lived up to our expectations and came with so many French fries that we ended up taking half of them home. The pretzel appetizer with pimiento cheese and honey mustard was a hit, and we will definitely order it again on our next visit.

I am consistently impressed by the food quality at this restaurant. Their vegetarian options are outstanding, and they serve the best flower leaf I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend it for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Wow! The fish fry is by far the best I’ve ever had. Brought my English father here for dinner on 10/8/21 and he was blown away!!! He says this is the closest thing to the “chippies” from his youth. Will definitely be back for sure. Highly recommend Tap and Mallet. Absolutely stunning meal.

Hands down the best place for beer in Rochester. The staff are all great, and the beer selection never disappoints. The atmosphere is always great too. If you’re only in town for a day, you should stop here.
