Derailed Diner - Robertsdale

Every time I visit, I always try something different off their menu. Each time just as wonderful as the previous visits. Took good down home country cooking and took it to higher level. The word Umami cannot express it enough. We need to find a new taste description for country cooking like Slap Yo Mamma Good .

What a great place! After finding no parking at Loves up the road at 6 PM I continued on. I didn’t know this place existed and would have never come in had it not been for the Chesters chicken sign on the Highway. Was pleasantly surprised by the availability of parking on their very large lot. Still plenty of parking after dark. Now don’t go giving this secret away. They went to great lengths to design and decorate. Huge selection of many unique items and gifts.

Grilled pork chops were perfect!! The waitress was the best, never drink under half and she was very friendly. I think her name was Alisha. Will never drive and stop and eat!!!

We ordered the catfish and fried chicken. Both were really delicious and a lot to eat. It was a bit slow to get the food on our table, but our server kept our iced teas full all the time. The bread pudding was amazing! If you go, you have to go through the gift shop; many funny items in it. We would definitely go back.
