Highlander Bbq - Roan Mountain

I visited for the first time last week, and I was blown away by the food—it was fantastic! The portions were huge, and the prices were unbelievably affordable. The atmosphere was delightful, with a cozy country vibe, and everyone seemed to be enjoying time with their families. We will definitely be coming back frequently!

Highlander BBQ is an absolute must-visit! I discovered this fantastic spot while cruising through the mountains with friends. It was the perfect choice for our group! They offer a wide variety of lunch options, and everyone's orders were accurate, hot, and delicious! Plus, the service was impressively quick—we got our food almost immediately. The staff was very friendly and polite. It's definitely going on our list of places to stop at on our next ride!

This restaurant offers not only friendly service with a smile but also exceptional food. Our group tried several different dishes, and I had the daily special: a country fried steak sandwich with fries. It was absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in Roan Mountain, you definitely have to stop by. Even if you're not in the area, the scenic drive to get here is well worth it.

Fast and friendly counter service, tasty barbecue (both pork and chicken) a⁸nd good prices. There are several BBQ sauces to choose from. The shredded pork and chicken meat had no visible fat and tasted healthy; much more than BBQ I've had at other places. We got a plate to share (shredded pork, shredded chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and roll) and also got 1/2 pound of shreded pork and shreded chicken to go. I will definitely go back if in the area again.

Took a little drive up the mountain from our home in Erwin and found this little gem for lunch. Needless to say our new favorite BBQ House. Family owned, they make you fell like you are part of theirs. The “Pig Wings” were out of this world.
