Elk Mt. Bbq - RISING SUN

Jim and everyone from Elk Mt. did a wonderful job with the catering for our wedding in July. Our guests raved about the quality of the food! Portions were plentiful and Jim made sure that the food was still warm for our guests even though a storm delayed the reception for about an hour. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food and the quality of service we received. I would highly recommend going out to the truck or booking them for your next event!

Great food can't wait to get a brisket sandwich when they reopen this fall

The Brisket and Pulled Pork on this food truck is amazing. So juicy and tender. Better than Bolen's, Chap's, and maybe even Jake's on Falls Rd. Edit w/ major complaint and changing this to a one star review: After trying this food we contacted the owner, Jim Pennell, to book him to cater our wedding reception in June 2017. After many emails, phone calls and even a taste test to try other things off the menu we then discussed options for our event. We received a quote and emailed a few times to tweak a few menu items we wanted/ didn't want to get a final price so we could book. Then out of now where Jim decided to not respond to our emails. Very unprofessional. For someone who just started catering this past year I am shocked they would turn down a $2500 event. I guess they just don't care about their business. However, the food is very good. so as long as you don't need catering by all means enjoy the food.

Brisket sandwich was phenomenal! Can't wait to encounter you guys again soon!
