I was hoping for some authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it turned out to be quite disappointing.
The Cajun cuisine was unfortunately bland and lacked the spiciness I expected. Having lived in Louisiana for 18 years, I was really disappointed with the food here. I ordered the muffuletta sandwich, and I can confidently say that no one in Louisiana would recognize it as a true muffuletta! It was served cold, with thick slices of meat, hardly any olive mix that you could actually taste, minimal cheese, and way too much bread. I've never had one served cold before. On the bright side, the service was good, and I can see it being a decent bar. However, if you're looking for authentic Cajun food, this isn’t the place to go!
What a fantastic spot to relax! The food was absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely come back if I'm ever in the Richmond area again.
This is an intriguing neighborhood bar with a diverse selection of beers and drinks. The gator bites are excellent. It's a pleasant surprise to find a Sazerac on the menu in Richmond. The food has a strong Cajun influence. I ordered the crab cake and jambalaya, but I found large pieces of uncooked celery in the dish. I would definitely return for the beer and drinks.
