The owners source all of the ingredients from local and sustainable farms sources. The amount of care that the owners have gone into sourcing the ingredients, preparing each dish, and curating the environment will blow you away. The Brown Tulip is absolutely phenomenal! We couldn't decide which entrees to get because all of them sounded so
This place is very small only have three tables and bar seats during lunch time, and a big table outside seems like it?s for dinner or large party They only offer set menu for lunch which is $19 for two courses and $24 for 3 courses. Very cheap but with high quality food. There are 3 options on each course to choose from , rotate from time to time. I had the duck wings which is so tasty and fall off the bone. Arctic char skin is so crispy and pair with the sauce really
I usually do not post reviews online but I needed to today. My husband and I had a random afternoon off so we punched in restaurant on Cary street into Google and headed here. We were pleasantly surprised. Lunch was a 2 or 3 course pre fixe meal which was lovely. Everything was delicious. Everything is seasonal with a changing menu daily. It?s a quaint little spot and we will be back.
This is an amazing special dinner spot, offering a one seating multi course menu of whatever is in season. Unlike other multi course menus though, you definitely won't leave hungry. We splurged and got the wine pairings with dinner, which is also worth your time. I'm not very involved with wine, it was a treat to learn about where each wine pairing came from. The food is definitely worth your time regardless.
Cute wine shop with hidden restaurant in the back, though hardly a restaurant with just a few tables. More like the best kept culinary secret in Richmond. We can here for lunch to enjoy their very affordable set menu: 2 courses for $19 or 3 courses for $24. I opted for 2 courses... but before those could come out we were served the yummiest warm sourdough bread I 've had in years, undoubtedly the best ever in a restaurant, with a dab of homemade salted butter. Two pieces per person and still we asked for more... Back to the other shining stars, I enjoyed a perfectly sized bowl of mussels in a cream sauce followed by red curry with chicken and jasmine rice. Both were awesome, however, I want to especially shout out the red curry which blew me away. I am not sure where the chef trained but his cooking was beyond excellent. We finished with a shared piece of chocolate and salted Carmel pie served with cream. Enjoyable but was my least favorite. Service could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. This was one of the most honest-felt, genuine southern hospitality experiences you 'll ever find. A little slice of small town comfort in the big city. Be sure to grab a bottle of wine or two on your way out.
