フィードバックを提供するCelebrated an anniversary there last night and while the food was good...not great, the crappy service from our less than friendly server ruined any chance that I'd go back. We ordered wine from the menu and she showed up with something different. When I told her that wasn't what we ordered she said "well it's French." I'm not sure when Red Burgundy became French for Pinot (I realize this is the grape commonly used in this area...it is not the same wine). Her amazing service was equally helpful when inquiring about the menu. I feel robbed of what could have been a potentially great food experience because of the poor, uninterested service. I will not be going back and will not be suggesting it to anyone else.
Awesome place! A hidden gem in Richmond. Small but lively place with lots of character. We had a bottle of wine, eggplant pasta and mussels and all of it was delicious. It gets a little loud and isn't really a place for kids.
Overrated, pretentious, and full of D-bags.. This goes for their identical twin, Mama Zu's, as well: Watch for the disdain as you arrive for LUNCH without a reservation, and are asked to wait while they "see if there's a table available," even when the place is virtually empty. Enjoy the perfectly reasonable choices of only Penne or Spaghetti (because everyone knows linguini and fettuccine are preposterous for high-end dining)?! for your bland f*ing pasta that pretty much epitomizes these restaurants.
I came for my birthday, so my party was a little larger (about 10-12).
I would have liked to opine on the food here but I guess that wasn't an option since the service was so terrible.
