The hush puppies were very good, made with a simple recipe and perfectly fried. The brisket was tender and expertly spiced. I will definitely return and recommend sharing dishes to try a variety of items.
What is the best BBQ in Richmond? The overwhelming answer, including the search for the great Google in heaven, was Deep Run Roadhouse. Well, after a small wait (there was an efficient moving line for the smoked meat delicts), I made an exclusion order. There were two great portions of af evaporating love that I and my date were completed with lovely. I'll have to try everything on the menu every time I'm in the area.
The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The total bill for all the dishes shown in the pictures was just $33!
It was my first time at this restaurant, and I’d had my share of visits to places like Qdoba and Noodles Company. Since I was out for lunch, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a two-meat plate with fried catfish and brisket, along with potato wedges, cowboy beans, and a drink. Thanks to my VCU discount, which is 10%, the total came to around $17. Just a heads up: avoid parking in the accountant's spaces as they do tow. The staff member at the counter was really nice and even helped me carry my food to the car.
Pretty good stuff. Got the pork sandwich, collards and mac and cheese. Loved the collards, prok is prettygood. Love that you can get condiments on it like onions, pickles and jalapenos. Wish they had un sweet tea though. Bathrooms are small fyi.
