Wing Kee - Richmond

I really enjoy this restaurant! It's a great spot to grab some delicious Chinese food at 2 o'clock. I believe it's even better than the number 9 restaurant! Plus, the prices for the smaller dishes are cheaper after 9:30. The service is decent, but I always leave happy. They also allow you to bring your own alcohol, which is a nice added touch.

The service at this restaurant was good, but the food was just okay. I had ordered delivery from Wing Kee before and found it to be fairly good. I tried the almond chicken, special Canton-style chow mein, and special peacekeeping. The food was delicious, but the chow mein did not have the desired crispiness. It seemed to have been sealed in a container too tight and lacked the crunchy texture. Despite this, the taste was good./ This experience prompted me to visit the restaurant in person last night. I arrived at 7:00 pm and the restaurant had a few tables occupied, but it was not overly busy. I was quickly seated by the host, given a menu, and had my drink order taken. My diet coke arrived promptly with a full glass of ice./ I decided to order the combination dinner for one, which included sweet and sour boneless pork, chicken chop suey, and a choice of pork fried rice or chow mein. I chose the rice. An egg roll was served as an appetizer with a side of vegetable sauce before the main course. It was tasty./ The main course arrived on a large oval plate with all the dishes nicely presented.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! It's the perfect spot for delicious Chinese food even at 2am. In my opinion, it's much better than no. 9! The prices for small plates also drop after 9:30, which is a major bonus. The service is just okay, but I always leave happy. Plus, you can bring your own bottle for special occasions.

UPDATE: During another late-night visit, the restaurant was surprisingly empty. I ordered the Combo Dinner for One with Fried Rice, which arrived quickly but was not piping hot. The food was tasty, although the egg roll was greasy and not very crispy. Overall, for $11.95, including tax and tip, it was a satisfying meal.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for enjoying Chinese cuisine. I went there last week with a friend for dinner. The staff was friendly and the food was served quickly. We ordered honey garlic wings, a dish of vegetables, 2 spring rolls, and some rice. The chicken wings were incredibly delicious!
