Yes, the restaurant is somewhat outdated, and there are times when the waitstaff can be a bit brusque. However, it's worth noting that some guests act as if they're in a casual grill for a lively gathering, which can be disruptive. Personally, I appreciate a quieter dining atmosphere, which this restaurant provides quite well. As for the food, you won’t find requests for bowls of butter or similar items here. If that’s what you’re after, you might want to choose another place, leaving more space for those who genuinely enjoy dining. The meals are consistently served hot and well-seasoned. Their menu features a variety of items like green beans, seafood dishes, stuffed mushrooms, teriyaki chicken, General Tso’s chicken, Cantonese soup, and much more. There are two buffet sections for main courses, one for soups and appetizers, a dessert area, and a small but decent salad section. While it may not be a five-star restaurant for everyone, I believe their food is truly enjoyable. I recommend giving it a try, but keep an open mind during your visit.
I don't know what restaurant the shipping critic went to, but Asian Star Buffet in Reynoldsburg has a full bar... They serve alcohol. We're here a lot. I agree that the service is often rude, the place is sometimes chaotic, but the food is excellent. But I am a sucker for good service, so they should invest in some customer service classes for their employees. If it is a language barrier problem, they should also address it. There are too many restaurants in this area to choose for customer service to be this moderate.
Excellent value! The Pepper Chicken is the best I've ever had. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the lunch buffet is very affordable.
Best buffet in Columbus. Huge buffet and tons of seating... but I've never seen a buffet this busy ALL the time. But the food is excellent with a wide selection.
This is one of my favorite buffets. My family and I visit at least once a month. The servers are friendly, courteous, and always quick to assist when you need a refill. There's a wide variety of food available, ranging from seafood to spare ribs, along with an extensive fruit and dessert bar. While the sushi may not be five-star quality, it's fresh and there are several different rolls to sample. I particularly enjoy the coconut shrimp and teriyaki chicken.
