Michael's Deli - Reno

The best local deli in Reno!! All the food is fantastic, and even during the lunch rush there is hardly a wait because of how quick they are. I recommend trying their soup of the day.

As always, the gyros here are the most delicious in town. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. This is one of my favorite sandwich shops. Be sure not to miss the pasta and potato salad!

The next morning, December 13, 2022, I woke up with a stomach ache and diarrhea, and by 9:30 PM, I was violently throwing up—sometimes projectile vomiting—and also dry heaving because there was nothing left to expel. I experienced intense stomach cramps as well. While the vomiting subsided by December 14, 2022, I still endured severe stomach discomfort until December 15, 2022. I suspected I had food poisoning but wasn’t sure what caused it, so I waited to see if my son would get sick too to help determine whether it was from Michael's or a virus. Sure enough, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, he experienced the same symptoms after eating the other half of my sandwich. Thankfully, no one else in our household fell ill. I was incredibly disappointed and in a lot of pain, which I attribute to a lapse in sanitation at this restaurant.

Consistently good and affordable sandwich shop. very nice employees and I always have a great experience. Keep it up!

Wow, this place was delicious, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, I came in late and they made me an extra batch of unsweetened tea even though they we're getting ready to close for the day, I had the turkey sub, fantastic red pepper cream soup also fantastic. Anything I wanted they we're willing to make it happen. Highly recommend this place. I think you will love it.
