El Jefe Gordo - REHOBOTH BEACH

I am extremely unhappy with this establishment. First of I ordered a club soda with lime and it had some brown trash floating in it. I asked my server what it was and she didn't give me an answer. The only response I received was the smile she gave when she took the dirty cup away. The manager did not respond to my request for the check. I will not return horrible experience. Choose wisely.

Great atmosphere and incredible wait staff. Best food you can get in downtown reho. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful, and happy hour is seriously cheap. The management is superb and the food we ordered was beyond fabulous. Recommending to all my friends family coming down for the summer.

On a positive note, I enjoy the Big Oyster beer, and the service has always been friendly. I believe they just need a bit more time to find their rhythm. My girlfriend ordered the chicken enchiladas during our last visit and mentioned that they lacked flavor entirely. I'm really hoping for the best for this restaurant; with some minor adjustments to their menu and kitchen, they could significantly improve. Otherwise, when Agave finally opens in Rehoboth, El Jefe might find it challenging to compete.

This is an excellent Mexican restaurant! The nachos are made fresh, and the food is fantastic. The servers are also very friendly and attentive.

Overall, it was an excellent experience from beginning to end. We were served quickly and with great courtesy. The chicken tacos and house-made chili were absolutely delicious. The fresh chips were light and fluffy, reminiscent of those made by my friend's grandmother. The drinks were perfectly balanced as well. Our waiter, Nelson, was fantastic, and the bill arrived promptly.
