Starbucks Coffee - Redwood City

This is a pretty good Starbucks. You can usually get a seat. Parking can be tight at times.

Place mostly empty. Only one person in line ahead of us but somehow it took almost 10 minutes to order, why? Counter person pretty much ignored us.

Very convenient staff is nice and it's close to freeway

Unfortunately, the issue arose with the young woman who took my order—she got it wrong. As I waited, the few other customers left, but the three staff members seemed too engrossed in their conversation to notice that I was still standing there. No one asked if I needed assistance or acknowledged my presence, despite my obvious wait. I eventually had to approach them to inquire about my order, which added to my frustration. Not only was my order incorrect, but I also needed to get to work soon. Considering how slow things were and the fact that the mobile orders weren’t overwhelming, it was baffling to see such neglect. With four to five employees on staff, it felt like only the one busy barista was really attentive. One staff member even saw me standing there and didn’t bother to ask if I needed anything. The team needs to be reminded of the importance of checking in on customers, especially those who are clearly waiting. In food and customer service, it’s essential to engage with patrons, as they may need assistance or, as in my case, could be waiting too long for an incorrectly made order. Moreover, my name wasn’t called when the wrong item was ready, which wasted even more of my time. When a customer asks for a refund due to time wasted, especially when they have to get to work, the staff should accommodate the request. It's clear that the customer needs to leave and might be feeling frustrated as a result of the service. Overall, this experience could have been much smoother with better communication and attention from the staff.

This is my favorite coffee spot near the office. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the staff. Thank you! By the way, I noticed some reviews with very low ratings, and I don't think they accurately reflect my experience. The café can get quite busy at times, but the staff always works hard to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.
