Baleenkitchen - Redondo Beach

I felt like this place was a hidden gem. Surrounded by the bay boats eating here was nice to be able to see the boats moving in and out. The food was delicious and ordered many items- no negatives.

I can say I was truly satisfied with this restaurant and with this being the place to eat rnight where we were staying The Portofino Hotel, this is a really good choice. The first meal I had here was a cheeseburger, because after the flight, that was the first thing I wanted. It was great, I really don't like my meat charred, but it was well done and I wanted it fast, so they tried to work with me I guess.... Anyhow, the rest of the food I had here was great! The poke, the salmon with eggs in the morning, their toast is awesome and the butter is amazing here!! The dressing for the salad is also great! They have daily specials here, which I wish I knew before, but now that I do, next time I go, I'll be on that! . When I went, it was taco Tuesday. It was yummy. Anyhow, it's an awesome atmosphere with the yatchs out in front; I can say, I do enjoy the food here and the atmosphere, when it's chill. And night I feel it can get a little noisy. But I'm writing because I did enjoy the food here. Whoever was behind the kitchen when I was eating my food did a great job! I enjoy this place when it's chill and relaxed, usually the mornings and the afternoons. I'll be coming again! Cheers from Texas! Thank you for the great food!

I highly recommend Baleen'kitchen in Redondo Beach, Ca the atmosphere is great the food is excellent and our waiter Tony was just the best of the best he was attentive courteous polite with a great smile and personality he made our dining experience memorable and enjoyable I'm going to let all my friends know about this wonderful new dining experience it was my birthday and he made it special lots of laughs great time thanks and bravo to Tony his kindness beems bright

I would have loved to give this place 4.5 stars from the moment I walked in. But the being as wonderful as is was the kitchen was extremely slow getting food pushed out. This wasn't a busy night either. Once my table was served the food was very delicious, just wish it were about 15 minutes quicker. Otherwise nice place I my return post Covid to see if this was just an off night.

I grew up in PV... My family and I have been coming to Portofino Inn since I was a teenager. We drive out now from Rancho Cucamonga to walk the beach and enjoy special moments at Baleen Kitchen. I'm a chef I can tell the appreciate the effort it takes to create (great food) serve (great service) with a mask on... All while maintaining great energy and spirit. Well done. Look at the pic of the FIRE EGGS BENEDICT I took before polishing off. The egg yolk was actually orange.
