Cafe Oratnek - Redfern

A cool name and very apt for its location in Kensington St, Chippendale, where It surrounded by concrete pylons and towering apartment buildings.

The pancakes here are my favourite in Sydney! They're ridiculously good and fluffy.

Very busy Sunday lunch!Table of 6, burgers took a little longer than 15 minutes but that's because this place is busy!!Chicken schnitzel was delicious even if it was dripping in oil.Very happy we tried this placeYes would recommend it for casual lunches, work, leisure,family plus or minus kids.

This is a wonderful small cafe with dear little courtyard serving delicious, clever Japanese influenced meals. Sure you can have very good poached eggs on toast, but how about the miso pork mince with eggplant on toast? Delicious. As is the Katsu pork sandwich, the fried rice and they serve possibly the best milkshake in town. Go early, but also worth the wait if you have to queue. Coffee good too.
