After the work of a hard day I really look for some comfort eating. While driving from my workplace in Waxahachie, Texas, on my way to my Dallas hotel room, I'm looking for something quick and delicious to fulfill my hunger and be honest that I wanted to eat stress! I mentioned it's the end of a 14-hour shift after standing on my feet all day and breathing my lunch. I see the sign of the church (CHURCH'S CHICKEN) as I approach this special exit. Well, I thought we'd go the national brand so that I should get at least a fast service of convenience food. I'll go in and order my food. I'm hungry so I actually order a three-part meal with corn and Coleslaw as my site. (My plan is to take some rests to work for lunch tomorrow) I also order the chicken sandwich. Although there is a 12-minute waiting time to cook the chicken, I decide that the fresh sandwich will be ideal for dinner tonight. Customer service is extremely exemplary! As soon as I arrived, the evening will follow. The young man never lost his composure and continued processing orders, helps in packaging and delivers orders to those waiting at the switch. He's got someone over there someday and helped him in the extermination of orders. So there is a little waiting, but it is completely understandable and everyone waiting is very patient and wears masks. Now for my food. I wait until I get back to my room and discover my delicious meal. The chicken is still warm, and the corn. The Koleslawe is cooled. The Chicken Sandwich of the Church is as juicy as the other place famous chicken sandwich. As you can see, the corn had a small problem with it, so I decide not to consume it. The Koleslaw was probably aged, but she was not completely dried out, I enjoy one or two of them with my chicken. Speaking... the dark chicken legs were off the chain! Tasty, well seasoned and cooked for perfection! I would definitely go back for the chicken sandwich. Please note if this helps you. And FOLLOW, so I can share.
The chicken was both tender and crispy, and I really enjoyed the cookies as well as the fried okra. We had to drive from Waxahachie to Red Oak, but it was definitely worth the trip.
Let me begin by saying that this place has the best biscuits around! No biscuit can compare. Not Red Lobster, not any other church's, absolutely none! However, the chicken is completely bland and lacks any flavor. If I had more hands, I would give that chicken 4 thumbs down. But I have to award the restaurant 4 stars because my wife and I end up ordering those biscuits almost every day. They taste just like honey cake!
One of the most consistently delicious recipes I've encountered. The biscuits were absolutely mouthwatering, and the chicken strips were seasoned just right. It made for a perfect 45-minute drive from home for a tasty meal with my child.
