Our visit was lovely, thanks to the warm welcome from Tash and Alice. We learned so much about the history of ice and how they became the largest ice producers in New York City... simply amazing!
Great ice cream variety! However, it could benefit from reducing the sugar content. After a few bites, the flavors tend to get overwhelmed by the overpowering sweetness. Artisan ice cream should focus more on distinct flavors and less on excessive sweetness, as we already have plenty of generic options for that.
This restaurant features an ice cream shop with a museum located in the back, which is open to the public. The ice cream is wonderfully creamy and comes in unique flavors, with seasonal options available as well. The staff is incredibly friendly and patient. The museum itself is a fascinating place to explore, offering many interactive exhibits to enjoy. Additionally, you can sit in the museum area while enjoying your ice cream. However, one downside is that the cleanliness of the museum area could be improved.
Plenty of hills is one of the best ice cream shops of NYCs, especially if you like “stuff” in your ice cream. This is a fun visit if you want to have an interactive experience, you can learn a bit about the ice making process, dip into the factory, and get a shovel while you are there. Plus red hook is a great place to explore!
Pretty sure the milk honey flavor is the best ice cream I’ve ever had. No joke. Unreal stuff. Perfect creamy texture. Sweet salty flavor. Delicious!
