Spitiko - Reading

A wonderful small independent family restaurant! It's a rare gem in the Reading area. The food and wine are excellent, and the friendly service provided by the staff is top-notch.

This charming Greek-Turkish fusion restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have a variety of options, including lamb, chicken, and plenty of delicious vegetarian dishes. It's definitely reminiscent of the old Cypriot cuisine you'd find in Kyrenia.

We moved to Caversham a few years ago and discovered this lovely restaurant by chance. We’ve been returning here for many years, and it never disappoints. The restaurant has a really charming atmosphere, the staff is always friendly, and the food is exquisite. This time, I started with the Imam Bayildi, followed by a mixed platter of chicken and pork souvlakia. Both were absolutely delicious, and the wine was fantastic as well.

Delicious food arrived promptly. Another excellent meal from this friendly local restaurant . We always enjoy eating there, and have been delighted with the take out service during lockdowns.

We've lived in Caversham for a year now and this is definitely one of our favourite restaurants authentic Greek cuisine with a fun and friendly service
