Short this place never stops disappointing. Better to go to the Takeaway shop over the road, as most of the Irish patrons do. I live around the corner and have been there several times and only once I have scored a reasonable (not good) meal. that was a chicken carving. How hard is it to get a chicken carving right? .seriously must be the simplest meal of the world to be right. not the last time I ordered it there. At first, it was a small lobster that is not cheap for a basic chicken snitzel meal. Secondly, they wanted another for sauce (yes even gravur) and everyone knows that they contain gravure, mushroom or pfeffer sauce in the carving price (normally). Three they wanted another to change my side of chips and salat to maize and vegetables. now everyone knows that they snitzel with maic (and gravy) but not serve this place and my friends did not get a discount to change the sides from veg to chips and salat. So, which is a basic el-cheapo chickensntizel to serious. but it will only be better (shot). I said, forget the upgrades. Just give it to me how it comes with salat and chips.
Had a birthday in the functional area. eating plates were great, workers were helpful and friendly. everyone had a great time.
To start off when we arrived the girl taking our order and the female chef started to argue halfway through our order. We were seated beside the kitchen and we witnessed the female chef pick chips off the floor with the tongs that are used to flip burgers. Upon receiving our meal of McDonnells curry, we realised it was cold and returned it to the kitchen to notify them. The chef took the plates angrily off the shelf while proceeding to stick her finger in the middle of the curry to check if it was cold. She then put them in the microwave whilst checking if they were hot enough by putting her finger in the middle of the curry. After eating only the chips, the chef came over and asked "What was wrong with your curry"? I replied it was cold and I didn't appreciate you sticking your finger in my food that was "cooked" in the microwave to which she turned and walked away without saying a word. Despite the food being reheated 2 times, the chefs attitude was absolutely disgraceful and even though I myself apologised for saying it was cold, no apology was given by the chef and her attitude was not what one would expect from a restaurant. I would never recommend this place to eat as the chef was rude and the food was disgusting, reheated and mauled. Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant especially a hotel.
