I had really low expectations here on foot and expected another 3-ring binder, Mexican place. I was really surprised! Food was great, and the service was extra polite and faster than fast. Only the reason I didn't give him five stars was the place that could be cleaner.
Compadres is probably the best Mexican restaurant in Randleman! He came back here recently after probably 10 years and was very happy with everything. For beginners, they have completely expanded from what I remember. The interior of the restaurant and it is out of stock is really inviting, and they have a really nice covered veranda also outside. The food is what all Mexican food should be. It's hot, the portions are perfect, and it doesn't look like it was thrown together. The menu selection is solid and the prices are fine compared to places you would find in Asheboro. One thing I think is cool about Compadres, is that you can order the lunch plates at any time! That's as nice as restaurant prices have risen. As for waiters and employees, they are probably some of the most beautiful I had in a restaurant. The majority looks like RHS students, but they're really upstairs. You'll never wonder if anyone ever comes back to the table, and that's all you can ask. Everything and everything, I always enjoy it with Compadres! I think they'll rival everything you find in Asheboro or Highpoint and it's great to have good restaurants in Randleman.
Food was good, service sucked. My husband glass to fill it again and I had to ask 4 times to get him another glass of tea. I asked for extra cheese sauce and never got it. Never had bad services.
The servers are great and tried to be helpful with food allergies. However almost all of their food has some form of gluten in it making it impossible to eat here for me. So don't expect to eat something here if you have a food allergy such as gluten. I think they have some dairy free options, but not gluten free.
