Rancho Valencia Resort Spa

This place is definitely nice and the employees are true professionals curious and do take ownership of their jobs. But it is supposedly a Forbes 5 Star resort when I 'm reality is more like a 3 star hotel, just look being the mask off the front and take a walk behind the scenes. The gates at the rooms are help together with literally bondo and caulking, one Even had mushrooms growing out of it! I 'm my 27 years in the construction industry it is the first time I actually saw mushrooms growing out of a door. I worked there and I called it Disneyland but not because it 's entertaining,oh no ladies and gentlemen ! I call it that because of the way all the work done to maintain the place is done in a Mickey Mouse way. The maintenance supervisor that 's been there 30 plus years has never held a real job outside of there and it 's only worried about spending on anything that might make the maintenance technicians doing the work complete it with the highest of professionalism which they are write capable of. Having been there for so long and it still looks the way it does speaks volumes of his non professional or non caring attitude, This,(maintenance supervisor), really need to retire and allow a new generation, a fresh mind to take the helm and take the resort where it should be and earn the 5stars it truly deserves The is literally held together with held together with duct tape and bubble gum, plus bondo. It 's not worth the price they charge anymore. If you do go and don 't believe me just take a close look around the back, around the corner or just take out one of the drawers in your room and take as look at the gate in the back yard. You will see I 'm not lying. My advice, for now is, go elsewhere as there are real gems in San Diego, if you really want to get what you paid for.

The highest experience,and the most pleasant staying country-sifisticate living style,is whorty to say a 5 STARS RESORT,the standars of the place are higher than the FORBES, requirements.

Beautiful place, great massage, and amenities. Extremely expensive, but if you can afford it, it's worth it, there's nothing in San Diego County that compares as far as amenities you can share with your significant other of opposite gender, which is a shame, because it makes this place the default choice every time. Maricela is the best, but all the staff is friendly, helpful, and warm. The food by the pool is not worth getting, bring your snacks if you are spending time here, otherwise you'll be very disappointed. The food used to be good here a couple of years ago, I don't know what happened, but it's like cafeteria food with 5 star prices now. Overall, prices aside, this place is a hidden gem, I've never had a bad time here. You'll love it!

Will definitely be back. We came here instead of ojai valley inn and now it's our new favorite place. Can't wait to come back next year.
