La Quinta Cliffhouse - Rancho Mirage

Wonderful place for happy hour as well as dinner. Our bartender Mario was very attentive and took great care of our party! It’s truly amazing how this restaurant is built into a cliff. We had the happy hour burger and fries and the short rib. Both were excellent!

Food is good but is not amazing. For those prices I would expect something better but is good. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is just great I love the waterfall they have. My favorite dish was the cilantro corn soup. In the photo is the ceviche and was good.

This was my first time at the Cliff House in LA quinta. I'd heard many things about it especially the food. Food the service and the drinks were amazing. I had the lobster tail with the ribeye and it was cooked just the way I asked and just the way I like it. Expect to pay about $75 a person and up but it is quite worth it. As with many places they did serve the sourdough bread before our meal and they continuously checked on us which I really enjoyed. Located off of Washington and 111 it is a ways away from the 10 freeway but like I mentioned it is worth going. If you ever in the area I highly recommend this place. I will be back myself for certain. Recommend making a reservation. I really enjoyed the atmosphere on the outside patio by the waterfall.

Atmosphere and decor is elegant and rustic. However, limited amount of privacy as tables are grouped quite close to eachother so the volume is quite loud. Food is decent but personally I prefer to be able to order al la carte sided and this is a fairly fixed menu. Food came out incorrectly but they did did fix the order fast. Service was fairly slow as our waiter was quite busy with the whole room we were in. Often times we had to ask for refills and items we needed for our meal (napkins, ice ect). Very pretty views and located in part of the valley that is gorgeous
