The London Bakery - Ramona

I met some British friends on Twitter who began teaching me about different types of tea. They promised to show me how to enjoy it properly when I visited England, but I had no idea there was a little piece of England right here in San Diego (specifically in Ramona). This charming spot is absolutely fantastic, serving up delicious treats. The tea is outstanding, the cake is delightful, the jelly they use is delectable, and the scones are out of this world. Everything I tasted was truly remarkable! They offer Tipoo Tea (sorry if I spelled that wrong), which is one of my favorites. I’m not sure if they have Yorkshire Gold—my all-time favorite English black tea—but even if they don’t, you’ll still love this place. It’s a sweet, special spot that really knows what they’re doing. I highly recommend trying their cream tea—simply amazing!

What a charming and delightful place! Although I’m not familiar with a traditional British tea setup, I can confidently say I would return here without hesitation. We indulged in a variety of pastries, including a delicious cream puff, a cupcake, pumpkin cheesecake, scones, and a unique banana whip cake, all of which were fantastic! We also tried some tea to-go, including a London Fog, which was absolutely delicious. One lady was working solo during a busy time, and even though it was challenging for her, she was incredibly sweet and made us feel welcome. I would love to come back for the full experience!

Take a trip away from home! I've been on the lookout for authentic sausage rolls for quite some time, and the London bakery truly is the best. Today, I enjoyed a chicken pie and a scone, and both were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!

These amazing bakers put a gluten/dairy free chocolate cake together that was delicious! My niece was able to enjoy birthday cake for the first time in years. And everyone else loved it too! I couldn't be more grateful.
