Butcher Barrel Gastropub - Racine

Drove up to meet our son and his girlfriend and picked butcher barrel Gastopub on a whim. Reviews looked good and the atmosphere fit the bill. We were not disappointed and will be back again!!!

Food was good, drinks were okay. The drinks break down on the bill was kinda odd. The menu is very limited and choices even more limited. Overall it was decent to good but for what you pay vs food and the table arrangement/seating was very close and kind of a cramped was a bit much.

Food is great. Favorites are the Brussels sprouts, any of the steaks and cauliflower mash. Dietary restrictions: They cater to allergies and have gluten free options. They have offered me different crème brûlées off the menu that are amazing! Parking: If it’s a busy weekend you may walk a block or more.

Would love to like this place but got to deal with the unpleasant odor of them cleaning grease traps at dinner time on a Monday. The smell is awful. Our bartender was wonderful so no complaints there. Can’t comment on the food because we have to get it to go because of the smell.
