I’m so glad I discovered this vegan restaurant in UP Village! I loved the food we’ve tried so far. We ordered the cauliflower fritters, veggie triangles, and vegetable kare-kare, and everything was delicious. I will definitely be back!
I visited this restaurant after my daughter praised it about a year ago while I was living overseas. Walking through Malingap is like a side trip from the bustling, ever-evolving food scene on Maginhawa Street. Pipino Vegan, which has recently opened its doors after being highly regarded as a sister restaurant nearby, offers a modest yet stylish interior that's very cozy. The staff is friendly and attentive. I tried the vegan kare-kare, and it was delicious, almost indistinguishable from the traditional meat version—without the disappointment of missing out on meat. Like many Filipino dishes, it leaned a bit toward the sweet side; I hope they might consider highlighting the peanut flavor of the stew rather than the peanut butter aspect. The bagoong rice was excellent, and the mushroom bagoong complemented the dish perfectly. I can't wait to try the Vegan Pansit Sotanghon to go. This place has made me excited about adopting a plant-based diet, and I will definitely return to explore more of their menu. Here's to the power of plant-based cuisine and this brave establishment navigating through a meat-heavy Filipino food culture. Much love!
Not just cruelty free but everything served is healthy. My favorite vegan resto.
Worth the price. Fine ambiance. I like the varieties of the dishes in their menu. There are plant based and meat options. Their coffee is also great. Nice place to have breakfast or Lucnh. servers are attentive and friendly. With limited parking space.
