Tatsumi Dining Modern Japanese

We were absolutely blown away, but be prepared to budget for this amazing experience! We chose the set menu, which was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, ample in portions, and delicious. We even ordered seconds to savor the flavors a bit longer. There’s a fantastic selection of wines and sake to fit every budget. The service was attentive and friendly without being too much. Overall, it was an incredible experience—definitely the best dinner we’ve had in Queenstown so far!

We decided to drop in at 6 PM on a whim, and luckily, they were able to seat us right away. The wait staff was warm and friendly, making us feel welcome. We ordered miso soup, salmon nigiri, wagyu aburi, tempura king prawns, and pork spare ribs. The sushi was so delicious that we ended up going back for more. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely return.

Absolutely exquisite. We enjoyed the aburi salmon, edamame, yakitori prawns, scallops, agedashi tofu, karaage, yuzu catalana, and green tea fondant. They even provided a hot towel to finish off our meal. The service was exceptional. We loved everything and have decided to make Tatsumi our go-to spot for our anniversary dinner in Queenstown.

Arigato gozaimasu to all Tatsumi staff last Saturday night! It was a wonderful experience and food tastes great! We especially loved the seared wagyu beef! The braised beef cheeks were super tender! Karaage chicken were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Cooked to perfection! Hope to come back again someday!

It was a lovely experience. The staff were very polite. The food was well presented and delicious. For me, a little more explanation about the food and wine would have bumped it up a star (beyond stating the obvious such as reading aloud the label on the bottle). Thank you for a lovely dining experience.
