Applebee's Grill - Queens

I came to Applebee's for lunch today and the wait was pretty long. But they were also quite crowded at that time. I waited for the food for about 20 minutes. When it came, it looked pretty good and appetizing. I had the Incredible Asian Burger and it was so good! I didn't want coleslaw, which is what the burger originally comes with so the waiter suggested I substitute it with mushrooms, which were a good addition to the burger. The sauce in the burger was slightly sweet and spicy and so good! The whisky bacon burger was pretty good too but more like a standard hamburger. Fries on the side are always good! The waitress I had was friendly and nice and came to check on me several times. Overall, the service was satisfactory for a Saturday lunch.

To all the people giving bad reviews.... I'm sorry you all have had such horrific and terrible experiences at Applebees. It has been in Bay Terrace for almost 30 years so they must've been doing something right. Providing decent food at lower prices and was always packed. Great alternative to bring kids too for quick, inexpensive meals. So the reason that they are closing for good is due to the obscene greed of the landlords of the properties in bay terrace. Such is the reason that 90% of the places have shuttered their doors. Three other places that were there for over 20 years and more have closed down all for the same reason. The landlords. I will not mention who they are but rest assured Applebee's will not be the only place on this hit list. Bye Applebee's. I know some of us will miss you.

It has been a while that I have not eaten at Applebee's, and it's about time that I give it a review. My experience in this particular place was very pleasant because of the good service, good food and good drinks. The place was kept very clean which is a plus for me. I tried their eat all you can boneless chicken/fries/blue cheese/coke slaw which they priced for only $12.99. I did not have to wait long after I ordered, another plus for a good place to eat. The boneless chicken comes in 6 different flavors, I initially opted for the classic buffalo, then I had two refills of their sweet Asian Chile chicken, the buffalo chicken could have been better but the sweet Asian Chile chicken was spot on. I was initially planning to just drink just one Brewster but I have enjoyed the sweet Asian chicken so I went for a second Brewster. The first drink I had was a Samuel Adams Oktoberfest and the second one was a blue moon, both drinks are just the right coldness. The wait service was excellent, he constantly checked on me to make sure that I still have enough to drink and still have enough food/refills. I totally recommend this exact place if you are up to having a little drink and good food.

TBH- Applebees has taken quite the hit. Just had their apps today and they just don't taste like the used too. Also they got rid of the cookie sundae!? There's a reason I've been away from it for so long. Don't recommend (not this location per se- our waitress was wonderful; just any Applebees in general!

Enjoyed especially the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert!!! Great waiter and not a bad noise level.
