Jaja - Québec

I had a very bad experience with poor service. Unfortunately, it looks more like one person who should not be doing service. Took over 25 min to get a glass of wine and they ordered the wrong plate for one of my 2 kids. It took another 25 minutes to get it … my kid was almost crying and the waitress was waiting at the bar… i had to go talk to her at the bar… really not up to the Concorde level of service…

Went twice during our stay at the adjacent Hotel and we really liked it. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and fluent in both French and English. Most breakfast restaurants in Quebec would offer complimentary coffee with their breakfast menu, but it's usually only drip coffee. Jaja, on the other hand, offered the option to change for a real espresso instead. A truly appreciated detail for coffee lovers.

Only had an order of toast and coffee for a light breakfast; both were fine (how hard can that be, really). Lost one star for the price: $8 for order of toast is excessive.

I felt kind of silly for ordering a pizza at a fancy resturaunt but it was so yummy! Our server was a star!

I had a wonderful first solo dining experience in Quebec City. The crepes were delicious and my server was friendly and helpful. Thank you for starting my day off right!
