Had a great afternoon out, we dined at about 16:00, so restaurant was nearly empty, we were a group of 7 people. The menu was confusing at first displaying prices per Kilo, but I was not intimidated and asked what should we expect to be billed, to which the staff explained eagerly. Food was excellent, octopus salad was great, soft, not chewy at all, although a slight taste which we all could not point what it was. Fish of the day was delicious, I think it was tiger fish , everyone enjoyed. Seafood soup was great and rich aroma. Grilled King prawns excellent. Deserts and coffee great as well. The most expensive was the sole, but was a bit dry grilled, the Lulas were great. Do agree with previous reviews that owner likes to scowl when I was choosing fish of the day from the display fridge, but many locals are like this, so nothing surprising. We did not let that ruin our experience. A bit pricey compared to even Lisbon, but all in all a great experience!

Second year that we have visited this restaurant. Looks nice. (Although we haven't figured out why there are two television sets hanging around). Excellent fresh seafood, nice staff and good selection of wines.

This Restaurant is located far away from the City Center and more located like a hidden place in an apartment area.From outside it looks as simple as from inside. The Restaurant has no table cloth. They do not offer a catch of the day. The prices are at a higher level. The vitrine is not showing a lot of fish.Mostly the price of fish is only displayed per kilo. So the first suggestion is to weigh the wanted fish and to notice (!!) the final price. Ask the waitress and she will assist and help you.We ordered prawns in garlic. ( cam. a guilho, for two=31,00 € ) Before you need to order bread with butter and sardines paste, because it will be automatically charged as a copert/couvert. We paid 2,80 € for two people. We ordered a bottle of good red wine= Donna Maria Grande Reserva 2010, 35,00 € .Then we received the deep frozen very small prawns in shells with bowels (not removed), swimming in oil with a poor taste.For main we ordered the sole. Price per kilo=45,00 €.The weight for one sole was 0,37 kilo and so the price was 22,20 €. It was served with fresh vegetable. The fish was grilled too long and too hot. So the taste was dry, the presentation and preparation was poor.The bottle of mineral water, Agua Vimeiro, 0,7 l, was charged with 2,45 €.You can also watch TV.The surrounding is looking poor.My individual personal rating:Service: 2 pointsAmbiance: 2-3 pointsPreparation of fish: 2 pointsPresentation of fish: 2 pointsValue for money: 2 points

Had a great dinner here, our server Mariana was so helpful and fun. She really went out of her way to help us decide what we should have to eat. Food was very good and fresh, seemed like a place locals would go to which is a great find when you are a tourist.
