Dominion Tea - Purcellville

Today came by with the family and had a wonderful tasting. I forgot to take pictures of all the teas we tried, but at the end of our pleasant visit we had tried 15 different teas. Ends up buying some for home. It's not your typical teahouse. Here you pay $5 and get 3 teas to taste. They also make pots and individual cups, but try different teas is an adventure. All the different flavors you discover. I bought online during the pandemic, but it was nice to try some. Today's best discovery was their brand new Lemon Pound Cake tea. Lemon, vanilla and marshmallow root in a caffeine-free green rooibos base. It was so good!

Order the Jasmine, Gunpowder and Jasmine Dragon tears on a Sunday, they appeared on Tuesday. WOW this is good tea, the best green teas I had. The Jasmine Dragon tears are particularly wonderful.

I stopped a weekend with my girlfriend to check it out. Huge selection of loose leaf tea, they are quite expensive, but I think this is standard for this type of tea (you not only buy pockets of lipton or something. The funst part was to get a flight and learn the different styles. Michael was amazingly knowledgeable and friendly, we have learned a lot and enjoyed our time there (and then bought some!).

Wow! That’s the first thing that comes to mind about this place. I absolutely love tea—not just the occasional cup of green tea from a chain café, but delving into the world of different varieties, enjoying their aromas, and discovering the history and cultural background behind them. Even if you’re not as passionate, this venue has something for everyone. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by an impressive array of teas and a knowledgeable staff member who could discuss tea selection in great detail. She even shared insights about the working conditions of the tea leaf pickers and their salaries. The teas are offered in tasting flights, so you don't have to limit yourself to just one option, and the assistance you receive enhances the entire experience. I highly recommend this place!

I’ve gotten tea from here many times—a great selection, prompt shipping (if you order delivery) and really helpful customer service. Their Loudon Raspberry Truffle tea is absolutely incredible, but the unflavored tea is also high quality and delicious.
