Torch Bistro - Punta Gorda

Had a wonderful lunch with 15 women the other day . The lunch menu had a great selection from sandwiches to salads to burgers. I chose the Goat Cheese salad for $9, good serving size. Other lunch specials are offered for $6.95 We were seated in a private room in the back and our server Annie was terrific. We brought in a cake, which she gladly served and then tallied up all those individual checks (yikes) Great service and food, keep up the good work you will be busy this season.

Food and service good, not impressed with policy of showing I D with credit card , won't hurry back. Would like to know if that is their standard procedure ? Never in my life time have I experienced this !!! The place was virtually empty, I can see why . There are too many terrific restaurants in Punta Gorda with Class to Enjoy .

Have been to torch twice while visiting friends. The restaurant is quite nice and very spacious, they even added an outside seating and bar area just last year. Their menu is mainly Italian but do offer specials and lighter fare such as salad and sandwiches. My choice tonight was the eggplant parmigiano with angel hair pasta. The portion of food you get is great, the eggplant was lightly breaded and fried , then stripes layer on top of one another and covered in a great homemade sauce and tons of mozzarella cheese. I couldn't finish all of the pasta but the eggplant was just the right amount, also they had a drink specials going on that night, 5.00 margaritas. If your looking for a nice meal out and want a great experience, along with a great wait staff try torch it's never over crowed and always on point with their food.

Was disappointed . Food didn't seem fresh . Service was so so. Chicken on salad seemed like it sat on a heater all day . How can you mess up grilled chicken . Won't go back

We ate at The Torch in Punta Gorda and it was amazing! To top it off, they have buy one get one free entres! Our bartender Heidi was awesome too. My husband had the Penne Ala Vodka and I had the Egg plant part, both were so good. We started with some yummy potstickers and delicious bread. We will definitely be back.
