This is the BEST local restaurant for Mexican cuisine. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. We love going to Compadres!

I wasn't greeted when I came in or acknowledged in any way. A worker just looked at me and kept walking. I helped myself to a menu to order to go. Eventually a server came to take my order. I ordered something very specific and she agreed that would make it and gave me the price. I'll add that I unintentionally said an ingredient in Spanish, because it's my first language and I'm accustomed to speaking Spanglish, and the server gave me a strange look as if I wasn't a fellow Mexican speaking Spanish, somewhat annoyed or offended. I waited for the food, eventually I was asked to pay, which I did but I was not offered or given a receipt. The workers all seemed miserable. I should've checked the order before leaving because it was not what I ordered. An ingredient I didn't ask for was added and an ingredient I did ask for was omitted. I attempted to eat around the cheese since I don't consume it and the beans were so runny and tasteless. The cheese wasn't even real cheese. It was some watery white liquid that pooled at the bottom and made everything it touched soggy. If I ate cheese still I would've expected melted Chihuahua cheese. The vegetables had flavor at least. The chips were horrible as was the salsa. I don't waste food but I ended up leaving it mostly untouched for someone who doesn't know any better that may want it. All the good reviews must be from people who have no idea what Mexican food tastes like. I feel bad for them but perhaps their taste buds are the reason for the flavorless food at this establishment if the restaurant is choosing to cater to them. I highly doubt the employees eat the food they serve. They probably make things authentic and tasty for themselves. Or maybe they do eat the food... That would explain the workers' sour dispositions. Probably the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to in my life out of hundreds. It's so bad I wished I had gone to Taco Bell across the street. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food or pleasant service don't come here. I hope this restaurant gets put out of its misery.

Not only is the food good but the staff is wonderful!
