I visited almost daily during my stay in the city and was always greeted by the friendly and upbeat local staff. The quality of the dishes, drinks, and desserts was exceptional, and the cute and clean interior added to the charm of the place. While it may be a bit tricky to find with a tricycle, as it's located on the main road of Rizal, it's easily accessible without precise directions. Situated next to a local hotel frequented by tourists, Eightynine Cafe has a modern and new feel with brown wooden tables and chairs, attracting tourists and millennials seeking a cozy atmosphere. The menu features innovative and fun dishes inspired by various countries with a Filipino twist, making it a favorite among specialty coffee enthusiasts and food bloggers. One of my favorite dishes was the Spambol, a unique take on spam with a katsu-like breading. The presentation of all dishes is simple yet beautiful, and the garlic rice, though an additional cost, is worth it. The cafe has a Taiwanese vibe and offers exceptional drinks, with the latte art being a standout feature. Don't miss out on trying special coffee options like the Charcoal Latte or the Yuen Yueng. Wi-fi is available, but there are no restroom facilities within the cafe - guests can use the hotel's facilities. Eightynine Cafe accepts cash only and stays open until late. Overall, a must-visit spot for a delicious and cozy dining experience. Let's eat!
