Margarita's Mexican Best In Pondicherry White Town

This restaurant is on the busy main road towards Old Town. I didn't see any options to park, so better not to come by car unless you are getting dropped off or are on a 2 wheeler. Now Margerita... You would associate more with a Pizza place than an Mexican one. When you enter, you feel you are in a Chinese restaurant...with the dim lights and overall red feel. We ordered burrito and another dish with prawns in them. I felt it lacked a complete flavour which could have made us want it more. There is another reason which killed the want for more other than the flavour, it is the quantity. The quantity is large, and you are left wondering how would you finish the whole of it. In fact any 2 servings will make 3 adults full. I can certainly say it is not the best restaurant in Pondicherry and has a long way to take that title. It is worth a visit, but certainly in no way is it a must.

A very good Mexican place in India. I’ve had authentic Mexican food in US and this restaurant is pretty close 7/10 for authenticity. The Mexican rice is on point, the taco shells and the chicken flavourings aren’t exactly Mexican, but still has the right texture. Service was great and the quantity was filling and great!

Awesome experience. Having the owner, an expert foodie himself, sitting with us during the dinner took the whole experience to another level. Authentic food, best ingredients and great taste! Best wishes to the team!!

Margaritas looks very unassuming from the street but the food was good for a Mexican cuisine restaurant in India. They have tried to keep the dishes as authentic as possible. The tacos, chips and salsa and fajita were all tasty. The churros were the best of the lot. Wish they served margaritas and some corona beer. Service was good..

A very cool version of Indo- Mexican is what is served here. The sea food is also fresh and so are the other delicacies. We had Chef’s recommended Prawn quesadillas, Mixed Asada, Chicken fajita and coke float. The sour cream needs a bit of improvement, else rest all food were too good.
