The Oddfellows - Pudsey

My wife and I stayed here a couple nights while exploring York. Driving distance to local attractions and downtown and walking distance to food, pubs, and grocery stores. I didn't try the food at the Oddfellows as the kitchen closes early. The beer was good, the barkeeps were knowledgable and friendly and the atmosphere was very lively and friendly. Caught a couple of the Euro matches while there and the locals were super friendly.

This establishment closed a number of years ago. The building has been demolished and replaced by a small farmfoods frozen food store.

Come quite regular mainly for the 2 for £10 meals and I have to say are great value for money both taste and quantity wise. Drinks go down well too with a good selection on offer. I must say staff talk too much so you do wait on occasions. All in all a great place and I take my hat off to the owner who has recently invested a lot of money in refitting the whole place out with new seating decor and windows.

Harrogate Road, Bradford BD10 0QE 01274 618591 This is an old favourite of mine have been going in here years as used to go in with my mum. Its a traditional type of pub where you can go for a laugh and a chat without being drowned out by the loud music. The locals are lovely and friendly and yes, it is all about the locals in this pub as it has its own cliche which can leave some feeling they have stumbled into werewolf in london type of place. But, if you stay and have a chat you are made very welcome. The interior is lovely and traditional if a bit tired in places, but it is always clean. The staff are friendly when you make the effort with them. The locals are mostly middle aged to elderly unless on a pub crawl and you get the youngsters in before going into town. You might get the odd hour at a weekend but it soon dies down.

Wow this place brings back memories, both good and bad, from the karaoke nights on a weekend when everybody had a good time and got involved in having a laugh, to the scantily dressed girls who tried it on with my bloke and the physical and verbal abuse I received. These were odd occasions though and not regular occasions. On average it was a pretty good night.
