フィードバックを提供するGandolfo 's was an excellent sandwich spot. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and a few sides. (I 'll have to try those next time! There are way more sandwiches than what is listed on their website! Even though it 's located at basement level, the restaurant has plenty of light and a chill ambiance. I got a 6 inch sub of the Little Italy served warm. The sandwich wasn 't heavy or greasy and was perfectly hit the spot for what I was craving that afternoon!
I have been to this location on many occasions when it was under the original management, then its transformation to Rocco 's, and now back to it 's original name sake; these are my thoughts on the new Gandolfo 's. Pros It feels safe, clean, and welcoming! The menu is clean, simplified and easy to read Sandwiches have changed little, however still tastes great Great value for sandwiches ordered The manager was informative, confident and friendly The interior is updated and fits the Provo food scene feel Safe for families and groups Clean tables and floors, didn 't visit bathroom due to experiences under previous managements Short wait time for food ordered Wifi is accessible Cons Limited soda selection, only Pepsi products Limited parking Not much of the original Gandolfo 's was felt possibly too big box My Order Urban Cowboy A classic poultry and bacon sandwich on a hoagie, the BBQ sauce is the weakest part of the sandwich Staten Island It 's original name was the Big Apple, a great Italian flavored sandwich but now on a Ciabatta bun and not the classic hoagie Knuckle Sandwich A good pastrami sandwich with cheese served hot, very flavorful and satisfying. Corned Beef on Rye A very good classic corned beef sandwich, don 't get it toasted, the flavors were great and the experience of the sandwich was great. Overall It was a good experience, I really enjoyed the open, clean, and safe feel the remodel brought to this location. The menu revamp was good and made sense. I will definitely be returning here, and now with my kids so they can enjoy some of the experiences I had growing up, however not quite the same.
If you’re planning a trip to New York, make sure to stop by this place! I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, which truly captures the essence of New York delis. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding! I’ll definitely be returning!
The brot, the sandwiches and the service were excellent. the water is a fun tasting.
Gandolfo's is known for its delicious sandwiches, and I usually enjoy visiting their other locations. However, I wouldn't recommend this particular one if you're short on time. When my wife and I visited for lunch on a weekday, there were only two staff members present, and neither of them greeted us. The older woman seemed to be supervising but did not assist at all; she just stood by and watched the younger woman work. After waiting a few minutes, I asked the older woman about a sandwich, but she didn't respond—she merely pointed to the younger woman. That's when I noticed several other customers at tables, also waiting for their orders. The young woman was making sandwiches but had eight orders ahead of us and was trying to keep up as best as she could. With a dozen other dining options just a three-minute walk away, we decided to leave and find a better place to eat.
