The service is instantly intimate, as the visit of your favorite sister with the brother-in-law who takes your page in arguments. The menu is limited, but daily dishes such as the Carbonara and Chicken Parm are served with care. Meatballs make a big starter and the cauliflower Caesar was also delicious.
I can't even describe how amazing this place is. My wife and I had reservations elsewhere that were cancelled and we're happy because we landed here! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We sat outside along the water in what must be the most romantic, image perfect setting of any restaurant on the cap (they even offer you a blanket when you get cold! our waiter was so incredibly good; he was friendly, funny and attentive, without being overlaid. The cocktails were on the spot, and the food... Oh, my God, food! We had the meatballs, cauliflower stoppers, lobster alla vodka and seafood fra diavlo. Everything was absolutely excellent, but above all the lobster alla vodka. Vodka Pasta is my wife's favorite, and that was undoubtedly the most delicious vodka sauce we ever had, not to mention, it must have been a whole lobster there! In order to survive, we were brought small mobs of salted steamers before they brought the check! If you are in P city, you must experience Sal’s Place!!!
Had a great dinner with my husband at this nice place, we had a nice table on the deck overlooking the port and we had a wonderful server. The cocktails were delicious and we enjoyed everything we had eaten. No dessert available, but they give you some sweet little pieces of fudge that were delicious. The place has a wonderful authentic Provincetown Vibe and I hope they can make it through the pandemic so that I can come back next summer! Great experience.
Sal’s was by far my best dining experience in Ptown. I went alone but had a great time anyways, the staff was super welcoming and friendly. It is cash only but not knowing that the hostess (might have been the owner) literally said “come back and pay us tomorrow”. The Caesar salad was the best one I’ve ever had, I got the carbonara for my main and it didn’t disappoint. I only ordered one glass of wine but they gave me a second and didn’t charge. The ambiance in this place is great, it’s nice without being stuffy.
Probably one of the better Italian restaurants I’ve visited outside of Italy. Food was really flavourful and portions were generous. Service was a well-oiled machine. Cocktails and wine are limited to a very slim menu, but all the choices were good. I imagine this is done to keep things moving at a swift pace. Had the lobster pasta which was really delicious. Caesar salad was prepared properly. No dessert or coffee available but that’s not a deal breaker. Atmosphere is superb. Definitely on the list to visit again when I’m Ptown.
