The mac salad made with spaghetti noodles is a unique twist, but still great. Awesome pizza- best on the North Shore. The Katsu Chicken is the bomb. Pretty much equal to Da Kitchen on Maui as my favorites. Eaten other things here too, all amazing. Favorite plate lunch place on the North Shore, and tied with Mark's place in Lihue as my favorite on the island. So good!
Awesome burgers and good Ono fish and chips at a reasonable price. Fantastic customer service the staff is just phenomenal! Skip the pizza, especially if you're used to great pizza from the mainland. It may be good pizza for the islands, perhaps the best, but it's nothing to write home about. Instead, enjoy the Ono and Wailua grass fed beef you can only experience on island. Great place for a quick bite.
Great little snack shop with a wonderful breakfast burrito that was hot and ready to go! Tasty tomatillo sauce to spice it up. I was able to get a egg and potato one without meat! The ladies were friendly and there is a nice area outside to sit and people watch all the traffic going in and out of the grocery store across the parking lot. Great place to grab a quick bite and get going to your next Hawaiian destination!
One of my kids wanted fish and chips for lunch while we were in the Princeville area, and my wife was hoping for something more gourmet. It turned out to be a gas station with a kitchen. My wife wasn’t too impressed with the gourmet aspect of the place, but that’s not really what it was about. The fish and chips were good, which made my son happy, and there were more fries than he could handle. The fish was beer-battered ono, nice and flaky. I ordered a plate lunch for $12, while the other kids chose burgers. My wife decided to save her appetite for a gourmet dinner later. Honestly, for the price (around $50 to feed all six of us), it was quite affordable for Hawaii. The portions were generous, and the food was satisfying. We left feeling full after eating at the outdoor bar, and we even had leftovers to take with us. I can’t comment on the pizza since we didn’t try it, but the burgers, fish, and plate lunch were exactly what we needed that day. If they had something genuinely gourmet (which would have made my wife happy), I would give it 5 stars. Oh, and be sure to fill up on gas there; it’s hard to find gas when traveling north of the area!
We ordered the pizza burger and the teriyaki kimchi burger, and both were incredible! They also provided a generous portion of fries. I would definitely come back again!
