The Peacock Inn - Princeton

I absolutely love this spot for afternoon tea. The service, location, and hotel highlights all receive top marks. The experience is pure luxury and romance, all at a fantastic value.

I had the vegan Grilled Cauliflower Steak at this restaurant and it was one of the most delicious dishes I've ever tried! I hope they keep it on the menu regularly. Our server, Cesar, was fantastic as well.

The servers were fantastic, friendly, and attentive. The menu was impressive, but the food was too salty. The credit card surcharge was excessive and detracted from the overall dining experience. It would be better to simply state that the restaurant is cash only. While I understand there are costs associated with accepting credit cards, this should be factored into the operation expenses. This review for their tea and sandwiches in the afternoon. Stale bread for the sandwiches. Scares amount of cucumbers and egg salad in sandwiches with disproportional amount of bread. Regarding the deserts, I feel I can buy in the supermarket with better quality. White just tastes like a water with added sugar. Chicken packed was decent. Jams for scones were just a cheaper supermarket quality. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the supermarket but I would expect from this restaurant and for the price we pay. Disappointing! We had our wedding dinner here 2 years ago and have since come back every year for afternoon tea and dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Every time we were treated well, and we were so touched that the managers still remembered us and our wedding! Absolutely top notch customer service, not to mention amazing food and super classy/romantic ambiance. I'm so happy we chose them for our wedding and started this little tradition as now we can look forward to our annual visit
